PM box 90% full - what do you do?

My PM box is at 90%, and I'm not sure what to do.

There's the option to delete EVERYTHING from my inbox, which I don't want to do. I'd be happy to just drop the older 500 PMs or something like that, but I can't find a way to do so. I really don't want to have to delete one-by-one.

What the solution? I'm sure I'm not the first to run into this.

On the right hand side put a check in the box for each message you want to delete then go down to "Selected Messages:" and choose Delete then click GO

There's the option to export all your PMs as a .csv file - which you can open in Excel or some other spreadsheet program. If you do that and clear your inbox, you can keep a record of all your PMs but have a clear inbox.

I would hope it auto-deletes the oldest read PMs as it goes over 100%. Of course things aren't always setup to work as it should.

Me too.

I really don't like the idea of having to checkbox-delete thousands of times. I also don't want to export and then delete my whole inbox. I wonder what the purpose of the limit is anyway, it's not like text takes up a lot of database space.

Anyway, hopefully someone knows how to just have it delete the oldest PMs as it goes, or perhaps how to have it just delete everything from before a certain date, or even just the oldest X number of PMs.

I just had to clear mine I'm back down to 93%.

You Can do what was mentioned above or on the top of each page you can select 50 Pm's at a time. If you go to the next page and click the select all 50 on that page again it will keep adding up.

However once you get to 750 IIRC it wont add up anymore.

I just cleared Pm's that i sent that where the first ones on the forum.

You can also delete a page at a time or a "section" (day/week/etc.) by using the "top" checkbox for each page or section .

My personal recommendation is that you keep up with cleaning house regularly

LOL How the heck do you guys have so many PMs. I have 0 in my inbox right now. Haven't even received one for months. Guess I'm just not popular.

Probably for the same reason my wife needs an unlimited minutes calling plan on her cell phone...
