I'm wanting a real laser that can put out at least 150mw
I wanna see the beam at night and burn things
I found this one at laserbtb and it looked like a good deal,
can someone please tell me if it's worth it or if I should look somewhere else.
Thanks
LP 515nm 532nm 1-150
P.S I want a pen because I have alot of AAA batteries I need to use
Currently own a 50mw red

Yeah, laserbtb is a good company. Just fyi, a pen like that at 150mW will have a short duty cycle. That's why we use bigger hosts, to suck up heat.

Welcome, and don't forget safety glasses, if you don't have already!

if its a 532, its duty cycle wont be short.... wont be infinite, but could easy be 60-90 seconds.

Duty Cycle: The amount of time on vs time off to maintain healthy life.

Example:

A laser with a 60/90 duty cycle is on which requires a 90 second cool down time after every minute of use to keep the laser from overheating.

Also, if burning is your focus, 532nm is not a good choice. Go for a 200mW 450nm or 445nm laser that is focusable. Most 532's are not focusable and will not burn. A 450nm should be focusable and will still be visible enough to be enjoyed.

That 500 is definitely multimode so if you do that be sure to get a higher power one from that page. The more power the better. But yes. A 200mW 445 would be a fantastic burner and beamer.

if you want a green i suggest you get the handheld or portable host whichever u prefer from laserbtb instead of pen and you can use them longer then a pen.

I can tell you're new to lasers. Make sure you're getting eye protection with a laser of that power. You should wear laser goggles with anything over 5mw and especially over 100mw.
