Hey there.

Just an idea for a thread, why not post some pictures of diodes you've killed so far?

Or give a rough estimate of how many you've killed.

I've killed 1. It was a tiny 3.8 mm can diode from a laptop drive that I couldn't get out of the aluminum heatsink. I attempted to dremel it, and the can flew apart....

Luckily, I got another laptop drive and another 3.8 mm diode the next week! 8D

Hah. I've killed more than I can count. Probably somewhere in the 20+ range. Trembling hands and soldering don't go well together.

I've killed one PHR-803T diode for unknown reasons and an A140 diode because I suck at soldering and got a blob of solder on the driver which effectively direct drove the diode when I powered it up :(

I already have a bin of dead diodes, but with each dead diode, a story and a lesson learned
