I've got a 405 build on the go and have a queery about the batteries. I am using a 3 AAA pill but that isn't going to provide enough power so I am going to use 2 10440's. The only problem i have now is wondering how to bridge the gap of the empty space. Do i solder a wire where the battery would go or how I have done it below

also using this driver

I should be able to power the -ve in from the case pin of the diode right ?

It's hard to tell with the picture you have, but all you need to do is run a wire in place of the missing 3rd battery.

Hope This Helps A Little

Do you have said 10440's on hand now? Plug them in and see what voltage you get.

@ Udanis is it any of them or does it have to be a specific slot ?

@ Comradmax They dont have a reading in any combination of two, hence the need to bridge :)

Oh, that's not a real wire in your picture, I thought you already soldered that red line in :) It will not matter which slot you put that in, if you do what Udanis said.

Cool, just wanted to check, thanks guys and no thats not a real wire ;)

*Edit*

I hooked everything up and got nothing, after double checking all the connections etc I tested the continuity of the host to the heatsink, no probs
still couldnt figure why it wasnt working, :( Im using the case pin of the diode to feed the -ve input of the driver.

Back to the drawing board:cryyy:
