Hello! Im sorry for my english first. Ive got my first bly ray lasser diode. And I want to make a lasser pointer, what I need to do that? I already got Aixiz 12x30mm laser module case too. I only need a diode driver? Can I soder that scheme my own? Where can get the schematics for driver scheme? Thank You!

You should do reading of Stickied topics and FAQ.

Everything is there.

To safely power a laser diode, you need to provide a constant current source (not constant voltage, like a battery).

You can make those from LM317 regulator IC, which is commonly available and used.
Look up DDL driver, LM317 regulator, current regulation.

If you want to buy the finished quality driver, you can buy rkcstr driver, or FlexDrive driver (last one is boost converter, look that up also: DC/DC converter, boost driver).

Do more reading and

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!

It will take time and patience, but reading through all the topics will answer ALL your questions for time being, and make your stay here more enjoyable.

Veterans of this forum do not like somebody asking questions that are answered million times before ;)

Good luck with your builds!

What Eudamonium said. Don't be discouraged there is a TON of information on these here boards and it may take awhile sifting throught it all but you just may learn a thing or two in the process. Welcome here BTW. When you get a chance be sure to introduce yourself in the "welcome" section :D

Welcome to the forum  there is so much good laser info here you should try out the search button there is so much info hiding under that button you realy should look there ;) I'm sure if you do you will find the correct info for your application. and if for some reason it's not there then ask the forum your question someone will have the right answer ! :tinfoil:

Thank You guys for understanding and replies! :) I already all day reading information in this forum, and find that I searched, and more more information about my diode. I will try to make something too! :) Thanks!

No problem, that is what a forum is for!

Just remember one thing, as your lasers build up (in both quantity and power), you need some eye protection also!
You only have one pair of eyes which cannot be replaced nor repaired!

Enjoy!

Here is a pictorial layout of the LM317 layout I modified for BluRay (125ma) from rog8811:

Change to 12 ohms for 100ma.

The center terminal on the regulator is the output of the LM317.

but if I want to run it with 90mA? which values I need to change for? I dont need a burnable laser... :) I want to make a lasser with beam which I can see... and If I will run it with 90mA it will be safer? and for eyes too? or not?

In that schematic, just replace the two resistors and a pot with ONE single resistor which is 12 Ohms.
Will give you 100mA to the diode, safe current for PHR, poewr output very good, beam can be seen and it will burn.

Always calculate the resistance for the current you want , forget the pot and two 10ohms in parralel, that is just plain weird.

Oh yeah, also, it does not matter if it is exactly 1uF capacitor, it can be anything in uF range, 1-100 or whatever you find.

Just make sure that the voltage of cap is above 3 V and you are fine. :D

Hmm I find at home some capacitors...
I have: 16V 47mf; 10mf; 22mf;
10V 100mf and 6.3V 22mf! :D can I use one of these? and in this schematic is no potentiometer? there dont need potentiometer yes? ok otrher parts I will need to buy! Thanks!

Can the diode be replaced by any shottky, zener or 1N400x diode of any type?
The rectifier diode is not needed at all,

It is only there to provide protection in case you turn the battery wrong , reversing the polarity.

However, if you are sure that is not going to happen (never happened to me), you do not need it at all,
But

You can use any 1n400x diode, if you want.
