Photos of an DVD-RW 650nm laser diode, seen OFF-ON under a microscope.

Epic pics Juan  I love both lasers and the photomicrographs (since I'm a microbiologist) :D

Is it possible to take some photos of beams?? I'm just curious :p

Many thanks Federico, I'm glad you like them

Tomorrow I will try it, if I have the time, and see if it comes out, and so also satisfy to Ped, and others who asked this :yh:

Sorry, I had not read all other posts... but I'm glad that it's not only a my request ;)

Gorgeous photos, mate! Those are really cool. I don't get it, they're high quality yet pixelated. An enigma to be sure! But still, Ive never seen these kinds before!

+1 ASAP!

Is a pleasure share this photos with all of you

Hi Juan
More stunning macro photos. The world of small has always fascinated me. Is the die also lasing at the rear? And the front face is step cut kinda weird.

Thank you very much Scott, I appreciate your comments :yh:

I will continue taking photos for you all

Edit: Yes, the rear also lases, but I do not know is if exactly the same power, would have to check.

Anyway as I said, this one it has no lateral losses, the other red's, yes.

Yes, so far all the red laser diodes photographied have the upper substrate something inclined, not that of 405nm.
