PGL-III-C Rebuild 490 SOLD!

I’ve had this host nearly a year sitting in the draw finally was inspired to rebuild it, well actually it was never a build host it was sent empty with the 589 module
I bought from DL.

I went with another 490 Sharp diode and Flexdrive set at 300ma.

For the housing led I had a 3led RGB board lying around and decided to use that
A bit of overkill but seems to work well and it can be changed to 7 colours with the click of a switch combination inside the head, the cyan I chose is close to the diode.

This time I managed to take plenty pics hope you all enjoy!

Nice build and beautiful wavelength. Do you know if CNI will still sell empty hosts to the US for a reasonable price?

I like these diodes set between 275 and 300 mA as they put out over 100 mW of optical power. It looks like you might have used an acrylic lens with this one. Can't be sure from the photo. From the photos, it looks to be a low wavelength diode, but photos are the worst for estimating wavelengths. It does look more blue than cyan, though.

Another fantastic build, Billy, that chrome side switch mod looks good on these PGL-III-C hosts! :beer:
I really like these new wavelengths, and this one is perfect in the PGL, also, good job with all the photos!:yh:

Really like that host, and the LED was certainly a nice touch. Looks so good in those outdoor shots - gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you guys!
It turned out better than expected, very solid too like a piece of alloy bar, and it stays nice and cold due to all the metal so unlimited run time, so instead of doing another thread I’m going to have this moved to the sales section. Thanks!
