There is a plug in that allows for direct display of PDF available from VB.org (the only authorized VB upgrade site)

It's really cool.

I use it.

The function uses a third party server to convert the PDF into a GIF file then displays it like any other picture.

The end user does not even need adobe reader on their machine.

Do you belong to VB.org Ave?? They regularly email me whenever any security issues arise.

I have "admin log on as user" installed, some creep found a way to exploit that and access user accounts, They immediately emailed me and instructed to remove the plug in until further notice.

4 days later the new improved and far more secure version was released.

My day gig is building vulnerability (patch) remediation, and last week we got a "recommended" security patch for RedHat linux acroread (Acrobat reader). Funny part is that the patch RPM is actually an uninstall. The patch removes the software, and states that the redhat security response team suggests removing the product!
