PBS Cubes for combining red or blue beams

I was under the impression that these red cubes can not be cascaded because of polarization issues. Is this a series of cubes ??

Great loking photos! :) :) But just what they show isn't obvious to me...so could a description be provided, say by someone who does see it all as obvious? :-?

You are correct Mike, cubes cannot be cascaded.

In the last picture, you can see that the beams from every set of 2 lasers are being reflected off the very tip of the mirrors to pass almost perfectly alongside each other, the double beams are being directed into the PBS. These double beams are both then joined together to make a quad beam of lasers... In the bigger ones, this idea has just been expanded into a much bigger scale. :)

That one devilish looking contraption... 24 diodes in the big one?

I know... right? ;D :o

I proceeded to drool... contemplate my options, and if I can afford to build one... and then drool some more! ;D

why do you do this to me DDL? you make me spend money I don't have yet =)

That is an awesome find and gives me some great ideas.

I could ask... but what do you need the mount for? It's just going to be epoxied onto a platform of some sort...  :-?

So I can epoxy the cube to the mount instead of the platform in case I decide later I want to reconfigure things. Also, in the configuration I have in mind I will need to raise the cube up slightly and I may as well use a mount if he has one made to fit.

JES... question was electronically zapped across the world, but a response is not back yet...

There is some kind of a bit geek fest going on in china for lasers and the such... and that guy is there to demo his equipment and stuff... When he gets back I'll probably get a response... but I doubt they do mounts. They're mostly there for optics and lasers... :(

Did you try think about a possible DIY setup? I know laser-man made some nice DIY things and he has them online.
