Seriously if anyone has an osram pl450b in a focusable pen hose I will trade my opto pen for it and a little bit of money.
Edit: I'll also accept trades for a 150mW+ red focusable pen laser and some money too!
Why are you selling your laser for a red one?
Trading. I would accept trades for something I would use more than my current one, and give my current one to someone that will love it and give it attention! Lol but for real, I just dont use this laser as often I would like.
Why don't you use it? And why would you use a red one more?
Still have that weird line in it? I would like to see what you are talking about. I would try canned air at the lens. Taking a big risk touching the lens as it will likely make the problem worse so I wouldnt.
Yes I ended up making it worse. I used rubbing alcohol and a q tip which ended up putting a bunch more lines. I think it's scratched. A way it could be fixed is by getting a cheapo green laser and taking the lens and switching the 2 black cone parts that hold the lens in place. My buyer said he will still take the laser but if he isn't satisfied he would send it back to me. I thought it was ok until I thought he might try to fix it and break it, and then say it arrived broken and return it to me. I then told him I can't accept returns on it. I'm awaiting a reply. Do you think I should accept returns on it? It sounds like a bad idea if I do. I don't want him trying to fix it and busting it and saying it was broken when he got it.
I would guess that most manufacturers lasers under class 4 don't come wime with a glass lens unless they specifically say it. There's no way to fix the scratches if it is an acrylic lens to my knowledge. The lens definately has to be replaced which may or may not be possible as far as keeping the laser looking original. Depends how it is mounted and the size of it.
Lens dirt seems to be a nuisance, especially if you put the laser in your pocket where lint and stuff can get in. If the parts from a cheap laser are an exact fit and you don't have to take the old lens off by force it could work. But it's likely to happen again anyway. I would just sell as is instead of spending more money and taking a risk.
Returns are a tough responsibility of merchandise sales, especially for used stuff. You either offer less convenience to your customer or risk losing shipping costs. Just tell him he can't return it if he damages it.
I gave you honesty REP cake![]()
