Saturation current is more important in our applications since DC heating current is considered if you want the absolute best efficiency and plan to run it on prolonged periods at elevated temperatures.
Ferrite I believe is more efficient at high frequencies but is more prone to core saturation than powdered iron. Powdered iron has a higher saturation flux density but also a higher core loss at high frequency operation.
