Oclaro /700/638nm

Hi p,
Have a Mitsu 500 it hits 800+ and that's good for me. But for the 700's 1W + is no problem 1.2 to 1.3 mA is fine. Xdrive or Boost is fine to but SXD is better for a couple bucks more with a long ramp up. They don't get hammered with all that current at once. They feel better that way . My next red build will be with a driver set to 1.3mA tops . Once you get over the 1 W mark then you can use a 3 element for divergence correction and not loose your 1+ W overage and the dot will be tighter than using a G2.
I ordered some G7's from Podo when they get here i'll see if there's any difference in power loss and divergence change.

Think you mean 1.2 1.3A and not mA;)
I also ordered a couple of G7 with the 9mm holders a few days ago. Threw in a couple more cheap tripods too for $3 each.
If I could afford one of those tri-beam 638nm diodes I would jump on one before they dissapear. Yeah, they are weird but that's why I find them interesting.

Hi P,
That's great to achieve 1W with a Mitsu 500 open can hope it 's an efficient dye awesome pal
The 700's are a more positive approach ,but you did it with the 500 Kudo's my man
