o-like lasers can't burn worth crap!

so after a 5 week wait I finally receive my long awaited 150 mW blu ray pen and 200 mW waterproof red from o-like. to my disappointment I popped the batteries in and the red could not burn ANYTHING, and the blu-ray can just barely sting my skin after 5 seconds. what the hell is going on?:mad:
 





Try fresh batteries, or charge yours (whatever is applicable)

If the batteries are half dead, well you get it.......

Damn Albert and firemylaser were thinking the same thing at the same time.. Scary.
 
well right now I'm letting the battery for the red fully charge so we'll see what happens. as for the blu-ray I put in a brand new pair of alkaline AAAs and it doesn't burn.
 
@laserlands: I'm sorry but what he should do first is to read the instructions, I'm sure they state that you must first charge the batteries lol

what's exactly the product you purchased? If it's powered by AAA I guess it's a pointer, then I guess it's not focusable, then of course it won't burn!
 
Shine the bluray through a lens and it should burn at the focal point. A small magnifying glass will do.
 
You must be doing something wrong. I can light matches at 10 feet with my 200mW red from O-like. It will pop black balloons at close to 30',(using 3.6V batteries) if I can hold my hand steady enough.:undecided:
I don't have a Blu-Ray from O-like, but all their lasers are tested to be within or > spec.
 
the blu ray is focusable. i have it focused all the way. it can't even light a red match after 20 seconds.

the red batteries are fully charged and when I put them in it took 5 seconds to pop a black balloon from 2 inches away. I was pretty disappointed.
 
ok. I tried moving it away a little and WOW it burns way better now...I guess that fixed it:yh:

It's amazing how fast people start posting on forums about their stupid problems, so at the end you just weren't focusing it? Please, rename the thread, O-like don't deserve this...
