o-like 400mW green laser with pictures

Been a week and a half and my order is still "processing" ?? WTF

Sure glad I paid them the extra $15 for speedy shipping... yeah right
 





Well speedy shipping is not speedy processing, is it .. it wont help if they are out of stock (and we know they sometimes are without changing the web).
I waited like two weeks. Actually I can't tell exactly, as their web is somehow buggy today and I can't log in.
Maybe try cancel the order as I did ;-)
 
o-like definitely has stock of these and susie can send next day, as she has done for me and another friend.

just have to ask nice :P

also host was redesigned within the last week, to a new focusable head, so you dont need the little tool to focus, you can do it by hand. that is what caused the delays for you guys, im sorry

What do you mean 'ask nice' ? Isn't normal ordering and immediate payment nice enough ? And no, they do not ship next day. I waited two weeks thos change of status to 'shipped'. And if even the status does not mean it's on the way (as Droid said), seriously, O-like is going steep down on my list.
As for redesign .. yeah, that would be cool .. but I expect to get EXACTLY what I paid for. The new model might be better .. and then it might be not.
 
My package actually left hong kong today!

Mine seem to have left too, on Wednesday actually .. but it is from Singapur ? Well at least something is happening. Still better then my last focal price order, which was $14 only, thus not registered mail. It's on it's way almost 2 months now.
 
The description I earlier read about this 400mW laser reminds me all too much of my last experience with a 400mW laser from O-Like. Very unstable, swung from 420mW down to 180mW, and eventually became a 150mW laser.

I will buy O-Like's pens, they rock, but their big, high-output stuff is a gamble not worth taking.
 
I wonder how mine will turn out. Hopefully tomorrow is the day.
 
Yeah, bad lens alignment is common. Just be careful .. there will be plenty IR all around it you turn it on open. Can it be dismantled easily ?
 
Yes the beam on my unit is also thick but bright. It comes out straight. There is a halo around the main dot, but no comet's tail or anything.

I measured mine on my Alpha Radiant LPM and it peaks at ~450mW, usually in the range of 350mW-450mW. At its 450mW peak, it also puts out about 130mW of IR.

I also have the O-like 200mW transformable model. It is stable at 180-200mW. It puts out about 30mW of IR. The beam on that one is thinner and to the eye it's as bright as the 400mW model.

I really like both models. The only gripe I have with the 400mW model is the focusing sucks. I see now that O-like has changed the design so that it could be focused without a stupid tool.
 
Nice pictures. Still this dot does not look like TEM00 .. and btw. we say collimating, not culminating, at least when talking about beams ;-)
 
Droid, you should just talk to Susie, show her pictures of the inners and kindly ask for replacement unit. Note that you DID disassemble it and it could be considered man-made broken, so be kind to her :)
 
It seems I've got the package too ! Except they sent it to wrong address .. I usually have billing address different from shipping address .. O-like seems to have them swapped. No big problem.
 
have had mine for about a week now. average 452mW, peak 485mW.

next day shipping from susie for me like always, beam is very tight, the focus ring is great and not loose at all. have not had any problems with this laser

shipped with an ultrafire 2800mAh battery - thanks for taking care of me!

will get some pics if people are still interested?
