I just received mine 2 days ago and it did come with an aluminum case.

Yes most definitely, all Lasers shipped during their clearance sale include the aluminum storage case, that is why they don't list it as an option right now; its standard during the clearance sale.

I got the NOVA X50 but it was overspeced to an average of 69.1 mW.
Its really an awesome product.
