NOT FS: Silver Finish 532nm Green Laser Pointers (out of stock)

Re: FS: Silver Finish 532nm Green Laser Pointers (CHEAP!)

:bumpit:

I got my set of ten very quickly. I don't remember whether it was 3 or four days after ordering.

I tested all ten, rounded up or down to the nearest 5mW. Test was done with fresh 1.2V nimh batteries, for about 10-15 seconds, room temp was about 76 degrees, lasers were a bit colder, I would guess at about 70 degrees.

Some observations. They are rather unstable, and tend to eat batteries. Goes without saying I didn't bother to test for IR, but if I had to guess, I'm probably say about a third of the power is IR. Had one behave VERY strange in that regard, in that it started as IR and shifted to green. They definitely like being cold. Should perform a little better with regular alkaline batteries, or 1x10440 and spacer, but I don't feel like testing them that much

I'll take another set of ten please :)

I think he might be out^^ if not, I would probably take another set of 10 too :)

Hopefully he's just away from the forum for a bit.

Re: FS: Silver Finish 532nm Green Laser Pointers (CHEAP!)

Hi Guys,

Thank you for the generous comments. I am glad so far everyone is satisfied with their purchase.

Unfortunately the only units I have left are ones I did not find appropriate for sale. They all work but either have a low output ( <5mw ) or behave unpredictably. I would consider some of these as suitable gifts but their outputs are strictly limited to visible dots versus the novel "visible beam" that could be found in the other pointers I have already sold.

If you are still interested in these, feel free to let me know and I will see what I can do; however, these would not be sold with the gift boxes. They would come individually wrapped in a protective bubble sleeve.

Best Regards

Still interested, just so long as they work... pm sent :)

Re: FS: Silver Finish 532nm Green Laser Pointers (CHEAP!)

Damnit! I wanted to get like 7 of these for my co-workers for xmas. I guess its a no-go then since all ya got left are "faulty" or weird functioning units.

Re: FS: Silver Finish 532nm Green Laser Pointers (CHEAP!)

I think I picked up all of the ones left. If 1-2 don't work... meh:p

For giveaway lasers, I actually prefer low, low power. Feel less paranoid giving those out.

Got mine & they're awesome, many thanks!

Of the 5 I ordered they all work, the most powerful 2 I have measure at 82mw & 68mw. The others are 65, 50 and 45mw :D

Again thanks for this great deal, these are awesome pointers! +

I'm curious, did you measure with Nimhs' or alkaline's?

Re: FS: Silver Finish 532nm Green Laser Pointers (CHEAP!)

Alkalines in all of them, I hadn't considered using anything else. What about you?

I am glad to hear that.

Just to build on this a little bit, I am surprised to see that Equitas didn't see similar results. It is entirely possible that Danefex's batch was "luck of the draw" but I made efforts to make sure every order would receive at least 2-3 obviously overspec units.

I was using nimh batteries, so it's possibly the results are somewhat less. I did just buy 96 AAA batteries, so I'll probably retest with alkalines.

I tested these again today & got some slightly different readings. Turns out they meter differently after being warmed up, I had not done this when I first measured them after receiving them. My claim wasn't exactly accurate before so I decided to shoot a video, this is how they meter with new batteries & after warming up.

Pls pardon the lack of focusing at some points and my inability to keep the camera still with my left hand :p

Hmm. Well. Those results are a whole heck of a lot better than what I saw.

I will definitely retest mine with alkaline batteries.

+3 for taking the time to retest and video.
