I dropped my 30mw TRUE laser.

Its my fav green laser, its great, got it from bestofferbuy, and I'm almost sure its way over 30mw.

I dropped it.

Thank god, the laser still works, but the button is so hard to press, and when I finally do press it I have to keep my hand on it REALLY hard to keep the laser going. I know I didn't break the diode, I think I just shifted it..?

What do I have to do to fix this? Its one of those regular pen style laser with the metal top and black rubber casing.

Do I have to use pliers and carefully take it apart from the top metal peice?

Ive never tooken apart a laser, so uhm... :|

I can't just get a new laser even though this was only 25$, since I'm all the way overseas. I still could use the 80mw I bought from brew, but I much prefer this one, so I'll keep that as a LAST resort.

Anyone have an idea of what I did, and what I should do to fix this? Thanks.

If there is a foam rubber washer around the negative spring, remove it with a pair of tweezers. You may find that the PCB has bent back, away from the switch operating button, if that looks like what has happened you need to carefully push something non conductive behind the board to move it up again.... you can leave the wedge in as long as it is wood or plastic or....well you get the idea;)

Hope that helps.

It took me5 minutes to find thios thread, I posted it in the wrong section x.x sorry.

Hell, I dropped my jayrob pocket mini build right after I installed the 8x blu ray diode ($200 diode, $170 host). It landed square on the garage concrete floor and bounced. I almost screamed but when I picket it up it still worked perfectly.

Roll up a bit of cardboard into a tube, use that to push it into place.
