Nitrox Lasers?

I have not heard anything about them, other than some discussion about pricing. I will however, suggest that you read the "buy sell or trade" section of this forum..... you will find lasers of high quality and craftsmanship. Without a doubt, I would purchase from here before i would anywhere else!!!

which is why isad i would reply back with the review after i recieve the product. i just dont understand why a lot of ppl dislike nitrox lasers.

I guess you'll just have to do some more reading then, eh? Enjoy your laser, but keep reading. You'll form your own opinion based in the differences you observe.

Peace,
dave

ditto that!

Edit: Send me a check too...... economy is way down right now. ;)

i am interested, but I cant afford any of them. they may be alot better than the nitrox ones, but I cant spend over 150 dollars on a laser. so, if i ever get more money, ill check it out

what a coincident. that guy from nitroxlasers just left and then you appeared. looking at nitroxlasers, i wonder how they get 240mW from 300mA reliably. ::)

So you pend $135 on something that's not nearly as good ? ::)

And there ARE complete lasers offered by members here for $150 or less

Peace,
dave

Well, I didn't think I would end up saying this, but what the heck, if the laser performs as well as you expect it to, and the price seems reasonable to you, how could you complain?

Just remember, Swordofsalvation, this is a tough crowd here. We've seen a lot of scams, and a lot of the information on that web site, is at best, stretching the truth a bit! Lies are a good indication of a scam. But that don't mean the product is not good, it's all relative...

You might consider asking one of the more trusted members here to do an independent review for you, as I am sure we would all like to know what kind of build quality this outfit is producing, and I doubt you have the means to do an in depth review yourself. Just a suggestion. ;)

Its never too late, im just wondering because i am not fimiliar with certain things. one of which is how a heatsink works.
I bought a presoldered 350mw laser diode in axis module with glass lense, $22 constant current driver, two lithium 3.6 volt batteries, and a AA battery pack.
I got all this for $135. including priority mail shipping.
PS-nitrox also added a momentary and on/off switch for safety. (the switches were free)
Oops, didn't know this, thought you bought a complete laser. Did not see the other thread! :-?

yeah, I bought a completely working laser, but no shell or flashlight housing. And, i do have some means of reviewing it, as I am somewhat versed in laser technology ;) but, yeah, I would really like it if some experienced member could either contact nitrox for a review product or buy one themselves. I mean, it seems that justin, the owner, knows what hes doing, but what the heck, I barely no wat im doing. anyways, thanks for the input guys!! especially you kage

Laser came today, and i have to say, nitrox did a pretty good job. first of all, the shipping was right on time
second, I only asked for the module, driver, diode, and batteries, but for free nitrox put it all together in a hobby box and included two safety switches.
Pros:
the dot is easily focusable at various distances, and is extremely bright, even in full sunlight. (btw its a red diode)
easily turns on and off
simple build, not to complex
Burns/melts most all black plastics, even melted some black paint of metal
pops darker colored balloons, and lighter ones with sharpied dot
lights matches that are black, and red ones(ill confirm this one)
Cons:
beam is not visible, but then again, its a red diode, so its not going to be as good as a greenie
takes a while to focus
have to maintain shorter duty cycle so it doesnt overheat

Guys, we should assume good faith, as Wikipedia users would say. We shouldn't assume that Swordofsalvation is trying to spam for Nitrox Lasers unless we have concrete proof. Anyways, I'd love to see the review! :)

Edit: 500th post! (Well, I technically have more than 500 posts, but some forums do not add to the official post count.)

Was checking the eBay laser scene(just for sh*ts and grins), ans saw a link to http://www.nitroxlasers.com/shop/index.php in the ads. Let me say there isn't much on this planet that could force me to buy DIY a those prices.

Anyone know what the story is behind the site? My apologies to the owner if they read this but wow..........

Yes i know something about Nitrox laser DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM Justin T Keltner( Nitrox laser) he never deliver yor laser he only take the money and sent you some mails saying he will sent it with in some days SO DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HIM
