Newbie question: Special effects in a portable green laser???

Ok, first of all... HI all!!! You guys have a great forum here!!!

Before I present myself in the right section, I need you to tell me if there´s any green laser on the market that has this type of built-in effects???

I´m always talking about a portable laser, one that fits a pant pocket...

What sort of special effects? There are pocket sized spirograph projectors if that's what you mean. There is one available on O-like.com and another available on Maplin's website. These are not exclusive to these distributors but you can go from there...

With special effects I mean for example Strobe... It´s just whatever that is not a simple green beam... (if what I´m asking for is impossible... just tell me)

For example, a rayfoss... a 200mW one... you can get special effects putting a ring or a prism in front of the green beam... but... is there a way to get a special effect from the laser body???

From the body? You want the housing to light up or something? I think you need to be more specific.
 
Good advice^^^ from Albert. best price atm is from focalprice- around 25 to 40 Mws in the pointer 'mode'. It blows away ordinary pointers when it comes to the 'fun factor'. I have yet to show it to anyone who does not want one. only downside is the long wait for shipping from China.---Hak

ps-- most of the sellers fail to inform you that just to be on the safe side observe a duty/rest cycle of 30 seconds on and the same off.(according to Rayfoss)
 
That is a possibility... is there any other laser? (apart from that one)

I mean that is that laser you have to change the pointer... is therr anything without having to change anything???

To change it into a simple pointer all you do is unscrew the star cap- which you would not do that often if you already have a green pointer.--They are cheap- get one -atm they only come in green.
 
If you want, you can also try to make a homemade spirograph. I made one some time ago, you can find a post about it in my signature too ;)
