heres my results for 9mm diode @2.25A, not too thrilled. ill do a review soob as i finish some customizations.

Unit hit 1.922 with a 3 element lens and when I took out the lens and basically held it as close to the ophir head as I could it hit 2.179 on first hit. With a T1 glass lens (same performance as a G1) stolen from my over 3.5W unit the highest I saw was just over 2.4W and this is with multiple fully charged cells. You get over 25% increase with that lens. Unit puts out some serious power even if it's not quite as high as you expected. I don't have a G9 lens to try.

I have Begun some custom work for my MS-Envy. I wanted to have "MS-Envy" engraved somewhere, so what better place than the focus adapter. Also, i wanted more to grab onto for adjusting since the 9mm lens needed to be screwed so far in to the module to achieve infinity focus, it didnt leave much of the included focus adapter sticking out to turn focus with. That and i wanted something a lil different! (Still gotta finish it when my m9x0.5 taps arrive in the mail, and also gonna polish it up a bit)

Finally got my completed laser from SBA. It's just crazy bright and sets everything on fire instantly... Even from a few feet away.

I love the size of the host. It fits in the hand nicely.

I received my Host tonight finally.

Looks pretty nice.

It feels nice in the hand, has a decent weight to it and was pretty easy to install the diode. Only thing I want to mention is what if something happens to the driver? How exactly do you remove it?

On that same note, it seems that the batteries are a little loose or arent making complete contact with the driver. Maybe im using the wrong batteries but how are you suppose to add more solder to the driver to complete a better contact?

PS: Was screwing in the bottom of the laser with the button, guess I didnt realize it was on. It came on for a split second and burned a hole straight through my shirt. Its powerful alright!

So heres my take on My project.

I receive this host with a 2.2A driver to power it.
Purchased the Nichia NDB7875 445nm 9mm Laser Diode In a Copper Module w/three element glass lens.
The host is very nice. Well built and love the fact that the whole host is like a heat sink.
I had my laser put together in like 5 minutes. Easiest one Ive built so far.

Only thing I wish about it is that it had more solder on the contact board.

The laser I purchased from DTR is just incredible. It even looked beefy when I bought it 2 months ago.

I put the battery cap back on the laser after loading my batteries and didn't know the button was pressed on and instantly burnt a whole in my shirt.

This thing has some power. I think this a fantastic addition to my laser collection and love it!

Hey r4mn33k i've got your order in line, I have a few more to work on including yours, they should go out as soon as we're done restocking.

the first batch was oversold due to shortage of driver pills but they are already machined and should be ready to ship coming week without any further delays.
From now on i'll be only selling the stock readily available i hate to make people wait but this is very time consuming work, im trying my best to make them ahead of time and i plan on keeping some stock at hand atleast for some hosts. Thanks.
