Here is my new portable labby. I rely here in a LM317T DDL driver with a Lipo batt. The resistor in the DDL driver is a 4w 1.2 ohm, and the great pot between the batt and driver is a 47 ohm 6w rheostat. I think it puts like a 900ma but I don't know how many mw outputs cause I have no LPM. Mi phone camera doesn't take very well the beam, but anyway here are the pics. The heatshink is from an old DX red module, aixiz module, and aixiz normal glass type lens. Diode is an A130. Pics were taken without any dust or fog and look very near to what my remaining eye catchs. ;)

How many mw will it put out at the said 900ma ? may be 700?

(The pic showing the burning hole on the door happened in 5 secs, the time I took to take the pic. Be VERY careful with this beasts! )

Nice build! I've got one of those heatsinks (I wish I could get more), and the camera did capture the color pretty well.

C:cool::cool:L labby, I like the lipo setup so you can walk around ;) The burn mark is epic, you will be telling your friends for years :)
And they will tell there friends they have a friend that has a laser that can burn holes in wooden doors

Yup, they were pretty nice heatsinks. I used to get them from DX, along with a module and a driver, but some time ago they were sold out.

Camera used was from an HTC HD2.

Thanks.

Thanks Flaminpyro, back in business. I used the 7.4v LiPo exactly for that, and because it is easily attachable and removable and reusable and hi-powered and because i had a bunch of them liying around :)

You can check your mA against what I measured at certain
outputs with 2 different 445nm LDs...
