Does JL make their own modules for 532 or just buy from cni? Being over spec, does that lend to less stability. I'm trying to imagine the equilibrium of intended output, duty cycle, and whatever I'm missing from the equation. If stability is down do they up the output to appease the buyer?

I don't know what to say other than THANK YOU JL! My 400 mw 532 mini and 10x BE came in today. I'm blown away. The whole package looks amazing. Beam is perfectly centered and alignment is spot on. The new BE adapter is a little tricky still messing with it. Put it on the Hyperion meter, jaw dropped. I had to check it against a few other lasers just to make sure. Nothing weird going on with the LPM. Not sure how I ended up with this but I am not going to complain. Grey you hooked me up. Thanks again. Ill get a overview, LPM graph, pics, and beamshots up in a few days.

I know what you mean, I got my JL 532 mini a couple weeks ago and was tickled pink. Looking forward to your pics, graphs and thoughts. Enjoy that beauty. I know I'm enjoying mine.

Congratulations on your new J/L dden4012, getting a new Jetlasers laser usually causes this type of reaction. :beer:
The only problem is that now you are hooked on the J/L experience, and you will be needing a periodic fix to satisfy your addiction!

589 would be an awesome addition but the drama that goes with selling them would be a deterrent. JL has an outstanding rep with most of us and would hate to see the track record tarnished with 589 issues. The 473 is kind of stepping in it but its nice that they make it available to us. A little relish in my ramble today :san:

Im still amazed that they offer 100mW's+ of 473 for a mere $300. Wow!

I sent an email to Grey about the new beam expander for the new mini model. If I'm understanding him correctly this new model of BE cannot converge the output like the PLE Pro expander can. I have tried converge the output on the min I received but the focus adjustment ring hits its limit before the output gets past divergence and into convergence. So if your thinking the new one for the mini will function like the one for the PLE Pro you may be surprised.
I would like to be wrong about this so if I can do something to correct this I'm all ears...wait...I'm open to ideas leave my ears alone. :beer:

Sounds like that the information you were looking for but it doesn't sound good. . Wondering why they would make them so it can't converge, isn't that one of the purposes of a BE? Curious as all get out. Will be paying attention, and thanks for searching into it. :gj:

Mines at the house, was to busy playing with the dazzler and other builds. Just thought everything was fine. Will check mine out when I hit the house again.

It looks like JL has removed the higher options for their 473nm minis and left us with just 50mw and 30mw

I was just thinking of getting one too, but I wanted to get the 100mw. Maybe they'll change it.
