New FOCUSABLE 200mW Red on DX






wow!! im soo happy i know the status of everyones order now, yay!!! ::) ....*yawn*....
 
im amazed! i ordered my dx red last week and it arrived yesterday, shipping was quicker than some of the top-dogs :o
overall very happy with the laser, though the focus nob sorta feels wonky and misaligned.
anyway - has anyone tried energizer lithium CR2 batteries in this? will they fry the diode?
i had to pay $22 for two duracell CR2, but i noticed energizer lithiums were slightly cheaper?

Aren't all cr2 batteries lithium? Btw why the hell would you pay $20 for a pack of 2 primaries when you can buy 2 rechargeables+charger from dx for $10?
 
Probably bcause he doesnt want to wait 2-3 weeks for the batteries and charger when he's got a laser sitting in front of him. Would you trust dx to ship them to you the next day. lol
 
thats absolutely spot-on. i woke up and the package was sat on the table, i went to the nearest shop and bought these 2 single duracells.
thanks for the info about rechargeables, im ordering them right now.

I ordered mine on the same day (3/14) and I am STILL waiting for it to be shipped!  Still says "Processing".  >:(

Instead they shipped two other items to me worth less than 10% of the laser's value.
 
I think it might have been mentioned previously but you can wrap some Teflon tape around the threads to tighten up the focus barrel. Worked for me.

This is a very good burner. I'm happy with it!

And I had to do the same thing... pay the big bucks at Walgreens for the CR2's while I waited for my backordered batteries were on the slow boat over.... at least they sent the charger and batteries at the same time when they did ship...
 
I am just curious as to why yesterday my new order said "packaging" and today it changed to "Processing - Contact Us for Details"???
It showed the items in stock that I ordered!

DX really pisses me off sometimes!
If there stuff wasn't so cheap it wouldn't be worth the hassle!

The reason for that is because you orderd from DX. lol. The cheap prices come with free hassles. Once it took 2 months for them to even answer to a support ticket i sent.

Well I finally got mine today! I have to say, for the price this thing is unbeatable. I dont have a power meter but it seems to be right up there where it should be. It burns at least as good as my 140mW alpha. At first the laser would only power on for a few seconds then shut off. so I bypassed the switch and it was fine. Now its working with the switch in place, but i'm going to add some solder to the connection.

But seriously... for $50 I'm amazed.
