Often times it is faster to navigate by keyboard only, without having to lift your right hand to go for the mouse. I can tell you if I had to scroll around in excel files (which I work with on a daily basis) I would go nuts.

@Mac - I'm only 27 and already feel myself being in that gap:undecided:
