I'm looking forward to comparing Nichia's datasheet of this diode to their 7H75 and 7D75 variants.

7H75 1.25W @ 532nm
7D75 1.5W @ 525nm

Both at 1.9A, max 2.3A

Waiting for the datasheet aswell still under development.

1A produces 760mW @ 531nm

2A produces 1599mW @ 533nm

2.3A produces 1779mW @ 533nm

2.3A is the "absolute max" that Nichia's datasheet recommends so I've stopped there for now

I did one more test at 3.3A and it only went up to 2219mW, so definitely losing efficiency after 3A

Obviously i can’t afford to pay 300 dollars for it, but rather I have seen some listings on ebay for 100$ , I would really appreciate if you guys could share any reliable sellers for the same.

I also came across a sharp laser diode

so it’s for 50$ ie half the price of ndg7d75 and can easily do 1.5 watts if you push it till 2.1 A. It seems like a viable option but I think I won’t be spending again on lasers , so I was thinking of going with ndg7d75 instead.

Imagine if you built a laser pointer with that diode...
I definitely wonder how the laser would look like.

I guess you put the diode inside a module? Or how does the silver device look like?
