HeHe you could try using a small USB fan, i don't thing the ( Wet Cloth ) is a good idea

Wow this is surprising... Never looked into this diode! Always assumes it was solid and stuck at 462ish. RHD pushed one waayyy past rollback, to 2.9A.... He got 476nm!! I'm gonna do some asking around to see how long these diodes survive at such high currents!

Hi Alex am i seeing doubles ?.. This is a great diode i have 2 builds with th 2W 462nm and now i have a 1.4W 462 diode i'll be building tomorrow . But i'll be using a SXDat 1.8a to play it safe. The 1.4W's are very pricey and i don't want to chance it .

Best way I found is a wet cloth in a refrigerator for an hour, should be just a little solid. Then put it into a ziplock bag or normal bag and seal it up. Then bend the cloth so that it wraps around the laser and use it as an ice pack for your laser. Works every time without getting anything wet. But seal the bag tight!! I prefer ziplock bags or those similar press-lock bags.
Depending on your laser, how big it is and how much ice needed to sink the heat. For your pen, an ziplock is the perfect size.

i got my gold 445nm pen back from Crazyspace. it meters 1450mw with g2 lens and 1225 with 3 element lens. i used that laser to get this laser to max reading. with 3 element lens i got 1,470mw and 1,635mw with g2 lens. Not bad for 2 pen lasers

ill try to get some up tonight. im going to do some LPM graphs and beamshots tonight of both these pen lasers and my pocket 445nm laser. ill make a new post called Pen Laser Fun some time tonight

Its a dry 35 degrees outside so if i open my window i can let them get farly cold and get about 30-40 seconds before they get to warm just enough time for a lpm test

Not easy to do lpm graphs of pen lasers
