My X105 Isn't Working

As far as the match lighting goes... curious have you only tried one type of matches or only from one match-book ?
For I have found out, that not all matches are created equally..some of them are downright stubborn, even some black-tippeds I have come across, making me think something was wrong, until I tried another batch of matches.
>found some OLD ones from a wedding 10+years ago, things went up the second the beam touched them, that with a 100mW red and a 70mW green, so your 105 ought to easily ignite matches, just make sure they arent the stubborn ones, leave them for the company that smokes ;P

In a nutshell, I replaced all my aging regular AAA and AA nimh's with Eneloops. I use the AAA's in my Nova X105 and they are awesome. In fact I have not charged them since I put them in my Nove and this was on the 20th. of Sept..
I would say I pull the laser out on average of once per day, light a few matches and admire the beam...

I have tested the capacity of Eneloops and they come out a bit higher then their rated capacity. They have been out for well over a year with no reported problems and I have yet to find anyone whom has been disappointed with them.

The neatest thing about them is they are low self discharge cells so they do not need recharging nearly as often. They maintain 85% of their charge if stored for a year. I and others have also found they handle high loads very well. There have been studies done on them on CPF. I would suggest researching CPF for more information, or just go out and buy a pack and try them. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Or search on Google...there is tons of info about them. I got mine from Battery Bob...but you might be able to find them for a little less if you look around.

I am sure you will love the eneloops as much as I do. Please let me know after you get them and have tested them out.

I finished up some testing with my X105 with the LMP-1 meter I received today. There is no difference in power output between fresh lithiums and the eneloops that have been in my laser. No doubt nimh batteries are the way to go to save a lot of money..

They don't have to be eneloops, but I will admit that since I started using eneloops I will never use any other brand or type of AA of AAA nimh battery....until something better comes along.

I did notice that as the laser heats up the power drops dramatically...mine went from 128mw's peak down to 85mw's rapidly. This was with both lithiums and the eneloops.

I will do some more testing as I want to hook my meter up to my computer and graph the output...and also check the difference with the eneloops that have been in my laser since I received it, and a freshly charged pair of eneloops. I may also test Energizer alkalines while I am at it.
