Re: My Supplier is back!~Wave 1: Over. Wave 2: 3-7
Also for those interested in knowing, I received all 50 5mW blu-ray lasers. They are sexy as hell. I love them. I want to keep them all. Maybe I'll just keep one. I only tested 3 but those 3 all put out 5mW almost exactly. They run on regular AAA.
As for the green it was spewing out too much IR. I chose this option. It measured over 1 watt on the 532nm setting because of this. I used a lens to get rid of the IR and got a reading of 270mW
, I also did a distance test in which I stand 25 feet away from the laser and measure the green at 260mW. Judging from the brightness and burning capabilities I would consider this to be close to accurate.
The lens I used was pulled from a PHR sled. It is the large rhombus shaped one. I am not sure how much of the IR it was reflecting. As for the distance test, I am not sure how much was still getting into the meter. I would like to do more testing with a proper IR filter but ATM I don't have one.
I'm sorry for the crap pictures but I just don't have time to take proper ones, As I mentioned before I am working 13 hours a day, 7 days a week.
