Hi all,

Just wanted to share some picture's of my polished Spartan host from Dragonlasers (or CNI)
I think this is a first to see this host polished.
It also was a first for myself to do something like this, but i think it came out just fine for a first try :)

Enjoy...

Still needs a bit more buffing...

Thank you DJNY :)

I have no idea yet...but,

I was actually looking for a green module, but there are so many types.

I'm looking for one that has a 2cm width coper heatsink so that it drops in nice.

I believe most are 1,2cm ?

Or i could just put back the 640nm 100mW (but that's a bit of a waste for this host now) ''needs more kick''

You might put a 671nm into it

Lasever has modules, afaik they´re around $350.

They are ready to pop in ?
No adjustments needed ?
I'll check out Jayrob if that's the case :)

Can't seem to find the modules on there site... or do you mean i have to ask them first to make one ?

For a quick test i just popped in a 405nm diode module that needed a heatsink sinds things got pritty hot, awaiting adhesive to dry.. :) (just a test, and to see it together working)

Yes, you have to mail them for the module :)

So euhmm like it's the same modules CNI uses ? that fit this host ?
Or are there any modifications needed.

Max output 100mW ? or can there be higher maintained ?
Also 671nm never seen that in person next to all the other reds.
Is it just special becouse it's new, or is there something very noticible between 671nm 660nm 650nm 640nm 635nm etc...
I know 660 and 650nm has a pinkish hue to it were lower goes into orange tint..
What makes 671nm so special.

Or is it just me, that thinks red is just plain simple ?
It's the color that started it all with ruby's

What do you think ?

Nice host!

Hi, I do have a couple of 473nm Lasever modules if your interested in one of those...

Here's the thread that shows details: (there is also a link in that thread to my personal build that also shows other information - like how far the lens will sit in front of the module, etc...)

It comes in this size, I have a 473nm and 532nm module from them.

Max rated power is 400mW's, should be around 450 if it goes like my other lasers from them have. I think that was just under $650 for the 400mW unit...

Edit: So close, 640!

Just contact them if you´re interested ;)

About the color difference, I do think that there is a significant difference between 650nm and 671nm

Hi to all that replyed just now.... :)

Thank you for trying to help me, really appriciate it :thanks:

The size of the module can not be bigger then 2cm in diameter or else it won't fit the host....

I believe the ones posted (that look really sexy) aint gone fit this host :(

the module has to have a thickness of a CR123A cell +- (to give you a idea)

It's 2cm..

We suffer with ya.. :(

Yah, that's why my first option was 532nm.

If there's any other option ^^ i have to completely redo and design, perhaps make a whole new inside.. but that will take a while before i actually start learning. (learning every day)

For now i just had to redo my little heatsink. (had to cut it down in size for it to fit)

Notice how it's the same size as the white plastick spring holder.. otherwise it won't fit!

I could make it make contact with the coper sink.

This module is set for 300mW output...

I gave it a overhaul..

If i wantted to get the best out of this.. i just need a new efficient 405nm diode that i can install in it.

Did a quick test :D

460mW of 405nm and the host is getting hot :eg:

that's 160mW more then it did :D
