my new record of opened tabs

Laptop: ~30 tabs, core 2 duo 2GHz
My main desktop: ~60 tabs, on an AMD 2500+ !!! Firefox and linux just work that good. I regularly peak above 70 tabs.

I try to keep it under 10. After that I'll probably lose interest and just close them anyways :p

Do you guys ever leave the internet?

I have usually 2 or 3. I rarely go past 5, past 10 for me would be ridiculous.

T_T usually 200+ in firefox and 25-30 in chrome.... I read...a lot...if I bookmark it and close it..I usually never make it back to it

what I see whenever I boot up firefox...the list goes on for a while...

^_^ At least I'm not the only one with 200+ Death By Bunny

Yep Linux & FF is just that good & better. :san: My 5 year old laptop does 200 with nearly no lag once loaded (loading a session of 200 does take 30sec or so). Maybe this laptop is just a freak. :eg: I did upgade its Ram just for FF.
I use Windows 7 Internet Explorer and I hate it.
When I get up to about 10 tabs it really starts lagging...badly. It really shouldn't do that.
64bit system
q6600 oc 3.0ghz Quad core
4 gig ddr3

Could it just be that IE sucks that much?
Maybe, haven't used IE in.... well.. I can't recall.
But with 3ghz Quad & 4 gig DDR3 it should Not be lagging at 10. O_o
I love areo.
Linux can do may of the same effects as Areo while using less resources: YouTube Search Aero vs Linux
You can try most linux versions AKA "distros" without installing them: Live CD - Wikipedia
Windows may not know how to burn an iso disc. ImgBurn will solve that easy: ImgBurn
Try Sabayon KDE version: Sabayon Linux - Wikipedia
Also give Super OS a try: Super OS - Wikipedia
Windows users tend to like KDE. Super OS uses Gnome but it has Opera, Google Chrome, Firefox & Skype.

If you're recommending linux distros, why not Ubuntu and Kubuntu? IMO they're the best starting point for ex-windows users, and the support is really impressive. Compatibility and ease of use is amazing too - I think it's the only linux distro to date which didn't require a single console command on my part before I had a stable machine with all hardware working.

Certainly Ubuntu & Kubuntu are excellent, I keep Kubuntu as one of my boot options. But they don't play mp3 or dvds out of the box. VLC will solve that quick tho. Can't get a bigger community when you need to find support.
Since he loves Aero & I think KDE is most familiar for windows users I thought of Sabayon. At least one review says "arguably, one of the best implementations of KDE 4.x".
Super OS (formerly: Super Ubuntu) is a remix of & compatible with Ubuntu. Plays mp3s & dvds out of the box & includes Wine. Its really just ubuntu with added programs & features included that save you the time / work of installing them. Its meant to give you the 'Out of the Box’ experience as they like to say.
Linux Mint is also ubuntu based & good for that 'Out of the Box’ experience.
