My new Brucemir decor

I'm moving next week and in our new apartment I will have the second bedroom all to myself for laser photography and builds, drawing for work ext. I will be painting the room a dark gray and wanted some large canvas prints of Brucemirs work on the walls. Hopefully someday my own pics will be good enough to get adorn my walls but for now I can't think of any other art I'd rather have hanging in my laser room than his.
I contacted him and we arranged compensation for the use of his files and today they came via ups.
I want to thank Bruce again and share a sneak peak. Hopefully the next time you see them will be on my dark walls of my laser room.

One day we will have lcd walls so people can have giant images of a Paris street or the LV strip, or a sunny beach scene, a live webcam uplink of a seaworld tank, what ever we want.

Just imagine the possibilities.

Even more exciting than that is where 3D mapping projection is going. The technology is getting close to these projectors beings able to map in motion objects in real time. Think about that, once this technology is there every single object in a room becomes an led screen. The table, the chairs, the tea cup in your hand all high definition morphing patterns and motion. It's going to change everything. You can have blank white rooms and furniture and choose a different decor every night. Think about the possibilities for night clubs, film, everything.

Hey Jeff,
Believe it or not I have zero laser pics hanging in my house, even in my basement / mancave / laser room. I have many framed pics hung but no laser shots. In my office at work I do have one shot hanging up and a "laser themed" calander my wife had made for me. When I get the photo from you it will be the first laser pic hung in my house.
Also try not to burn holes in the pics!

brucemir's laser and camera work are the best I have ever seen. First class inspired and ever changing series. He has really developed it into a unique art form.

I hope he has the chance to get some select prints out into Galleries for sale to the general public.
Have been keeping my fingers crossed that he can get some of his photos distributed/sold through YellowKorner which has shops all over the world in high end malls and other places where this kind of thing sells very well.
See: YellowKorner gallery New York Short Hills YellowKorner does an amazing job of making and selling different sizes of all images all framed and ready to hang. I know Brucemir sent an initial inquiry into them and some samples of his work ---never herad back what their response was.

brucemir --- If YellowKorner didn't respond postively on first try am sure you are not alone. You should send to them again and include some of the best from your new series and spheres. If they take you, you would be off and running with worldwide recognition of your work. Keep submitting to them. Did you ever get over to the Short Hills shop to see what a great job the do with the photos offered? Is always an interesting place to visit for great photo art.

I think their website said something like if you don't hear back from us in a month we are not interested. Maybe I will try again. Ten years ago I used to photograph the Empire State Building at night all lit up an met with the ESB marketing people and did sell them my photos and design for a poster and series of post cards and got paid very nicely for it. It comes down to the right people seeing your work and then things can happen as it did with the ESB. But I do the whole laser thing for my enjoyment Maybe one day the right person may see my work and something could happen, but as long as this is my creative outlet I am fine with it. Yes absolutely --try again. I just spoke with them and they said it is not uncommon for people to submit to them several times and I am sure they get a lot of unsolicited submissions.
I think your work has an edge in that is not just another landscape photo or one of the other subject catagories they get thousands of submissions on. It is unique photo art created with lasers. Nothing else like in YellowKorner's catalog of available prints. It is getting someone to recognize that and pay attention may take a few tries----is as you say: "It comes down to the right people seeing your work and then things can happen "
Is worth leading them to water a few more times/submitting repeatedly a few more times per chance someone is awake enough to recognize something new and different in images that are eye catching/pleasing, interesting, unique and different ---and importantly very marketable.

Another pint I will bring up as to why Bruce your work is so unique is that in our day of CGI and digital art which this could be seen as, is that it's actual. It's not rendered. To get these images by using lasers and optics makes it that much more incredible.
For example, I was at an art show and this piece I really liked I immediately assumed it was digital art. When j read the bio and artist statement about the piece I saw that it medium was acrylic paint. That blew my mind and gave me a whole new appreciation for the work. Digital art is awesome and I love it but it un consciously can water down appreciation for other types of impressive art because it's so common and in ways easy to make something look great. Bruce's art blows my mind because it's mechanistic. It's true ply unique and I enjoy it daily. I'm so happy to have these prints and definitely want to make more up with your permission and compensation of coarse. Thanks again Bruce. You're one talented man.

I will try it again this weekend. I should take a ride there with my wife since Short Hills Mall has a Legal Seafood there and we have gone to other ones in Wash DC area many times. I was at the NJ one about 5 years ago for my wife's birthday.

I do have many newer sets of shots that I think are very imaginative. I know a sequence of shots is good if my wife or secretary say, "That's really nice" as they see (under duress!) most of my weekly shots and the usual reaction is "Oh no, more laser pics", but every once in a while I am able to impress them. They are the ones I should submit. I will keep you posted!

Great points ---100% true! Brucemir images are photos of straight up real world reality ---the result of concentrated and focused human effort to create artwork level photos with laser equipment aquired, available, and configured expressly for the purposes of creating those images----nothing virtual about them --nothing a computer could do.

Even a chimpanzee with a computer could make some cool looking stuff that mimics human effort with current CGI and digital art programs. Requires litte if any real talent or ability. What Brucemir does requires human effort, vision, ability to envision, and real talent/style/ability.

OK sounds good! Keep sending in submissions 5 images at a time, like they ask for, every month for the next several months or until you hear back from them. Maybe one of them will catch someone's eye/attention and imagination, hopefully.

Yes take the wife to visit the Short Hills Mall--they have a Legal Seafood there that is always busy.. I have eaten there many times and food was always good, really fresh and tasty. The YellowKorner there is a pretty big shop and great place to visit--always awesomely presented photo art to see. Am sure your wife would love to take a tour and see all the shops -is a fantastic and beautiful Mall with a never ending list of best of the best and high end shops, boutiques, and interesting things to see/take in. Is easy to enjoy just being there and looking around/seeing what's what.
