My new 445 build with super efficient diode :D

Awesome :beer: i got one like that too it did 1.8W or so with a G-lens and at about 1-1.1A I chose not to crank it up :)

But i am sure curious what yours will do :beer:

Me too, I was just looking at the LPM, it passed 1W I was satisfied but it kept goin up & then settled at 1.42W O_o it's a tiny host so it quickly drops down to ~950mw after about a minute, even though the 1.42W lasts about 25 seconds ( + the 15 second response time it's likely there for ~40 seconds :D )
But I too can't wait for the new reading! The saik from DX just landed in Canada according to tracking, just waiting for new driver :eg:
 
That maybe because you're using a linear driver, and linear drivers tend to overheat quickly.. therefore just changing the driver to a cool running buck driver would make a lot of difference in the same host..

Yeah I would agree, I had this driver on hand & it fit so I used it, the saik will have a Foulmist boost :D

And so I kept this laser on my air conditioning fan for the last 20 minutes, didn't put it in the freezer & the air conditioning doesn't condensate the lens or diode so this is what outputed :eg:

That's as high as I got it, I've been trying ever since I built it to get the power to peak as high as possible & it finally hit 1.6W ( drastically cooled though :D ) still a glass lens :eg: in waiting for that saik now :D
 
^^ Yep, Ive been known to do the air conditioner trick myself! Thanks for sharing! :)

could be anywhere from 25%-31% , lets say you're blessed with this unique diode for now.. Awesome build!
