My Monster 6+ watt Laser Build Has Started !

If you have a 445nm and you look at it's beam safely of course, right after the 462 it won't seem the same.

That is th4 445 that was blue is now magically purple.

it's certainly the most affordable "blue" laser on the market at ~$120 and its at 5W too! the more "true-blue" laser diodes are lower power and are upwards of a grand :< people have been predicting that along with the trend of lasers over the past decade we should have a >1W 488-505nm for under $350 within the next decade

that gun is really cool! I've been meaning to build one of those NUBM07E's for a while now but I am currently building an RGB and don't want to start another project before I complete this one. Nice vids though :D

You forgot the other part.....

seeing if you can, with what you got at home !
I don't even have a vice nor a bench for it:( Well at least where i'm living now..
As Harbor Freight Tools has been a blessing for this hobby, even going to the local dollar stores iv'e found things that come in very handy.
Isn't it though a good feeling doing things with stuff out of a junk draw:beer:
I like to use the cheapie Harbor Freight dremel and as silly as this sounds as its under powered and tends to bog down, it helps from grinding off to much by mistake.
Also when your hands are all nicked up after during things with what you got is a reward:whistle:

Did some one say overkill ? Check out the old school safety on/off ! I've had this switch sitting around for a while now and I've been wanting to use it with something cool and so I did, I think it makes it look just a little more dangerous !

Not a bad idea I nearly beamed my eye handling a pointer with a push button momentary switch.

cool idea i accidentally hit my hand with a push button 7W hurt for like 4days feel like a needle going threw my hand forgot to turn off the safely switch and my finger slipped on the push button :o

Yes we have to be careful about bumping tail switches, we should have 2 switches on every unit for safety, I have bumped a couple and only good handling habits of always pointing a laser in a safe direction like a loaded gun kept me from a screw up.

My 1st NUBM44 was on a test bed and had a safety toggle.

I got that linos 2x-8x and it works like a telescope, maybe I can get it to work, it's had a lot of use but it might be good for 3x or so after correction, probably should stick with sanwu 3x until I find something better.
