my first tunnel effect.

yesterday I was board and I saw a motor on my desk, so I decided to make a little tunnel with DX dilda [after replacing new diode] and DX 50 green.

I have a >5mw spiro laser that works on 4*AA batteries, it was of my brother before some years. i`ll upload pictures of it after school..pics:
[this is not a reason to not build DIY spiro]

Nice first pictures! My very first tunnel was made with a mirror taped to a fan and a DX 50mW green xD The mirror would often fall off, the fan moved because of vibration and the laser isn't exactly stable (plus I don't smoke, so I only had some burning paper to visualise the tunnel with).
For a neat spiro you can just replace the module in the one you have with one from a higher powered laser.. the dilda's head screws off easy as nothing.

I thought to disassemble a 30 or 50 mw green and replace it instead of the red, but i need time because now it`s the end of the year and I have many tests.. In the summer vacation I`m sure I`ll have a great laser time..

We have seen one of those modified with a red and a green, they were not combined so you got a red pattern, a green pattern and where they overlapped it gave yellow.

Sounds like a good idea, I can recommend the LedShoppe 50mW Green if you want something cheap but powerful. There should be some discount coupons for the page too, if you look around.
I am approaching my finals as well, good luck with yours! Summer will be heaven! Parties, roadtrips, moving to a new flat, finishing my first x/y scanner.. with lasers, there is always something more to look forward to, should it be a package which will soon arrive, a new type of diode being released or a DIY project soon finished
