Another idea... Since you are going to be spending $12 on a driver, about $30 on a heat sink, putting a lot of work into the C8 pill (and finding a brass ring), buying thermal adhesive, silicone wire, and other things. A much easier option would be to order the whole "just add diode kit" kit from Moh, and the diode itself from DTR or Clif at Cajunlasers.

Aurora C6 Just Add Diode Kit - $35.00 : Mohgasm!, Because it feels so good.

how the linear driver from mohgasm works better with 1x18650 or with 2xcr123

Those are good goggles for 405nm and 445nm. Another forum member has done tests with an LPM and they block nearly all 445nm light. These are the glasses I use; all I can see is a faint yellow dot when I am wearing them. OEM certified glasses are better, but they cost 10 times more money. http://www.oemlasersystems.com/prod...tion/uv-visible/arg-uv-blu-ray-argon-blue-ktp

The Mohgasm linear and circular drivers require 2 lithium batteries to work properly. 2x rcr123 will work, 2x 18350 will be better.

Either one would be fine. They both have a very good reputation. I bought diodes from both of them several times and haven't had any problems yet. They both have good prices and ship very quickly. You might want to double check to make sure they ship to Mexico, but that aside, take your pick.

You have to use 2x 16340 (CR123) 3.7V size batteries with JAD kit..
What current did you choose and add a focus adapter too, it helps in focusing and also better heatsinking if the lens shell gets hot..

you will need 2 16340's to power the driver. One 18650 will not be sufficient enough.

EDIT: sorry didnt know a answer was given while i was reading/ typing :)

1x 18350 will also not work, you need atleast 7.2V i.e, 2x Li-ion (16340's)

Sounds like you are on your way!
2x 18350s will be perfect. Buy good ones (AW are the best). Good batteries are worth the extra few dollars. Ultrafire batteries will work, but they are cheap. You will get more out of your laser with good AW batteries or some other name brand.

Also, protected batteries are a good idea if they fit. Anyone know if 2 protected cells will fit in the JAD C6 kit?

18350 cells are smaller than the cr123 i think 18350 protected cells can fit :D because the c6 kit is designed to 2xcr123

I just checked this morning, my protected 18350's are slightly longer (about 1-2mm) than an rcr123. So you are right, they should fit fine.
