My C6 build for ZeroLaser (Sort of pic heavy)

Decided I'd make a post about it to share some pictures of my first *completed* build that didn't malfunction after 5 seconds ;)

This is using a C6 JAD kit from Mohgasm, but the heatsink had no set screw and the tailcap was stuck on no matter how many times I clicked it, so I basically redid half of this build. Anyway, here's a couple pictures of the host and some beamshots. More pics coming when it's dark outside :) EDIT: Scroll down for night pics ;)

ummmm id contact Matt, mine had a set screw and the tail cap should work properly. if not i bet he'd replace it for you

Yeah, I sent him a PM. Waiting for a reply.

That is a good start man :)

Looking nice so far for a first build. The sink should have a set screw ... I'm sure Matt will help you with this issue.

Yeah, hopefully. It was much easier than my "first" build with the 638nm diode, since that was my first experience with soldering and I'm much more confident in my abilities now. I also was able to cut the wires shorter, so they don't get crushed as much between the driver and heatsink. I was surprised by how easy this was actually :)

Yes the diodes leads in the c6 should be very short ... otherwise it will not be easy to get it all together.

Generally the c6 host is one of the easiest hosts laser builds.

Try a couple more builds ... and I'm sure you will be good to go :)

Best Regards  ,
Eitan.

Yeah, these are very easy to work with. Lasers in general even. Just a couple weeks ago I didn't understand anything about them at all, now I'm making them with ease :)

By the way, this laser seems to burn better than my 2.25W C6 from Blord, I'm guessing it's 2.4W+, but like I said before guesses don't mean anything around here. I'm 99.9% sure it's above 2.2W though.

Once I have my LPM I'm going to make a lot more of these and I'll probably sell them after extensive testing.

What lens does this one has on it ? ...

Re: My 2.2W+ build for ZeroLaser (Sort of pic heavy)

It's a 405-G-1 or G-2 lens, not certain which. Same as on my Blord C6.

Ohh okay :)

As we said before ... check it before ....

Also keep in mind that burning difference between 2W and 2.2W etc ... is not noticeable ... What matters is the way you do it. ( focus your lens etc ... )

Anyway good luck man

I'm not going to be selling any more lasers until I have my LPM, which should be in a couple weeks, and after I've done a few builds for practice.

I'm glad you understood our point

I'm glad you understood our point

I've learned that other people on here seem to always be right no matter what I think :P

Anyway, the beamshots are in my basement with the lights turned on. With them off there's too much blue to make sense of anything, so I'm waiting until night and then I'll get some outdoor pics added. Should be dark when I get home from work :)

The truth does not require your agreement with it, to be true ;)

Peace,
dave

Night beamshots added to OP :D

Re: My 2.2W+ C6 build for ZeroLaser (Sort of pic heavy)

Good job! The only thing that bugs me is your title being 2.2W+.... I try to refrain from claiming output until it is test. Other then that keep it up!
