the "cake is a lie" is because the computer that guides you through the levels says that when you pass all tests you will have CAKE, but when you advance you can get to some places outside (like, a secret passage) the testing facility (bah, just the level, not OUTSIDE) you see "the cake is a lie" written with blood on the walls...
