Anyone have any idea where to look for a lab unit 532/510nm? preferably with beam expander option.

I guess ebay isn't that good for finding such things any longer.

But when it comes to 'most powerful' the only question to ask in return is 'how much money do you have?'. There are 'off the shelf' units that produce up to dozens of watts for the cost of a luxury car, but if your budget was a million, billion on trillion, you could order yourself quite a bit more power. Do upgrade your electrical connection though if you plan to use it at home.

Yeah i guess "Most powerful" cannot be taken literally lol

Im looking for a lab unit for a "one time" scientific experiment, anything over 1500mw preferably.

A hire would be perfect! Doubt i'll find anything though.

Newgazer is selling a 1350+ mW 532nm DPSS laser for $400.00 plus change. It was and still is on eBay and they are all brand new.

Budget would be nice. I could start listing some very expensive modules, but useless if you don't have $10,000+.
I think your question should be: How much power can I get for $x?

I suppose hiring a 1500 mW+ 532 dpss laser would not be that difficult really.

There is plenty of laser equipment you can rent for laser shows that has over 1.5 watts of green 532 in them.

The question is what you would want to do with that. These show lasers often have built in protection to stop the beam staying on a single point (which is very dangerous if scanning a crowd and count potentially start a fire when 'scanning' stuff like drapes).

Since you can probably not take rental laser show equipment apart to get the light out by putting a mirror in the beam path between laser and galvo, you'd need to find one that has no safety features. Your best bet might just be a dodgy disco rental place that offers unsafe equipment.

If you can suffice with about 1 watt of power i think having a 510 nm unit built might be preferable though.

I have bought a 532nm 1000mw laser pointer before.I saw 520nm before, and I didn't see 510nm's laser pointer.

@ industry thinker. There is an "edit" icon on the right bottom of your posts. It is considered bad manners to double post here. That is posting right after just posted and no one else has posted again. If you click on it you can add to your last post without starting a new one.

ALSO, THIS THREAD IS TWO MONTHS OLD. IT IS CALLED NECRO POSTING TO OPEN A CLOSED THREAD HERE.

There are many 532 DPSS lasers on ebay. Up to several watts. You need to search for DPSS to filter the search.

Multi watt 532 is expensive though. Especialy if you want good beam specs.

Would guess from your OP that you have little if any laser knowledge, experience, or safety training or you would not have asked for most powerful lab unit with a beam expander to begin with.

Most importantly --what is your budget? How much can you afford burn/lose doing this one time scientific experiment?

What is it that you actually want to do, one time. and why do you imagine you need/require only a 1500mW+ 532nm laser w. some random spec beam expander to do it? What training or experience, if any, do you have in using or operating high output power lasers for any reason?

I doubt anyone would be reckless and irresponsible enough to rent you a dangerous device/laser unless you had some verifiable experience/knowledge of lasers and/or laser safety training credentials or your company, if there is one involved, has a Laser Safety Officer (LSO) --- liability issues/insurance alone would prohibit doing so.
Think about it --how would anyone be certain that you are not an accident looking for a place to happen??
Buying the equipment may be the only way.

A scientific experiment to be done where--involving what and so on?

Maybe contact a University that has a laser lab and people trained to use them might help you do a one time experiment
