Arcane doesn't look too good in my opinion. Because it looks a little plain and very big. I would recommend building a 6W laser in a custom krypton groove host.

Also does anyone know of a company or person that makes a RGB set of lasers with the same host and same power? I would love to own one of each laser with 1W of power so I could do some testing and compare which is better for burning certain objects and which is more visible in day/night time :eg:

DTR sells RGB bundles but its only the diodes you just need to grab the hosts

^yup, DTR sells 120mW of each colour (450/520/635), he also sells 1W of each colour (445/520/635). SFLasers also sells 1W of each colour, all in the Arcane 2.0 host (445/520/635). Jetlasers sells 1W of each colour too in the PL-E host (445/520/532/660, and finally LaserBTB sells 1W of 445/520/660 in the PL host.

Keep in mind you will need goggles that cover each of the three wavelengths, you should be able to get one set that does everything but I'd personally go with individual sets.

Yeah it might be tough firing them all up at once, you might end up wearing three safety goggles, there you won't see jack shlt, or one goggle that blocks them all, which would essentially be a brick.
And btw if you want the host colour to match the laser colour, Sci-Fi Lasers is the way to go

Yeah Gabe I have actually started talking to Eitan (owner of Sci-Fi Lasers) through Private Message and I might actually just be getting the original Arcane 2.0 445nm 6W-7W. I know I will have to be extremely cautious when using it and won't be fooling around so no need to worry about that!

Are there any safety goggles/glasses you would recommend for that laser? I ideally want 3 so I can show people the laser without damaging their eyes. Would it be a good idea to get a Eagle Pair for myself and maybe 2 cheaper ones that still do the job for anyone I might be showing the laser to?

I would imagine so, definitely go for eagle pair. To be honest, I'm not actually sure where to get cheaper goggles that get the job done..? Do some white search bar research, I remember there being quite a few threads on surprisingly effective and cheap goggles.

IR is beyond the visible part of the spectrum. The only way to see the IR dot is with one of these:

Infrared Laser Viewing Card, AixiZ

Or with an IR camera, although just any digital camera may be able to see it, they often aren't very well IR filtered, or you can also take apart a digital camera and remove the IR filter.

And no, you won't see the IR through IR safety goggles. Otherwise that would kind of defeat the purpose, yknow... Heh
