Hello all, have only had small laser pointers last one i got is a 30w green laser pointer.
Ive taken apart a few to see whats inside and well a little confused-
from what i see there the diode with lens and a pcb with a a push switch on it.
looking through the forum and doing a few searches I am just getting more confused to what is involved to make a laser work as such.
What im thinking it is ? - power I.e battery's, some sort of pcb that regulates the power ( is that called the driver ?) then the laser diode
Is that it to make it work as such ? things like a host - something it all sits in ?
Heat sink ? is this for the diode or for the pcb part ?
Would like to have a go at making my own - around the 150mw area blue or green, just would like to know where to start.
Sorry if there is a thread on this, just do not know much about how it all works, but would like to learn.
