Sure. You can re-align the crystals or replace them with a better set. Or you can swap out the optics for higher transmission and better divergence.
 
It's a cheep 8 dollar greenie and i just want to make it shine brighter and longer..just looking for a semi easy do it yourself home upgrade
 
Pop the diode and out a higher power one in there combined with what Pierce said
 
Not much you can do with an 8$ pointer, other than rip it down and do some
hands on learning..

I would recommend getting a pair of goggles to protect from the 808nm, otherwise
you're playing with fire..
 
cool thanks...any tips on getting the tip off without completely bending it and making it an eyesore?
