It was 474 earlier today, now its over 600... holy shit.

one down rep from dave gave me a negative 151 points.

In fact I have very very few downs but they all seem to stack up becuase I never had any ups when I arrived last month

another analogy

If you play with fire you will get burned (eventually is the assumption, you may not who knows)

You know, if you put some of the effort you put into trying to sound smart, into actually reading and learning or doing some building and research, you could contribute something useful to the community. You don't have to feel that way about yourself.

I normally don't care. I believe that people have the right to be lazy and stupid. However, if you start spouting off bad or dangerous advice, refuse to admit your error, and then try to be cute defending your ignorance, it is time to act.

You have been given your chance to learn from your mistakes. As things are, I can only send a PM or email to c0ld. Be thankful that he is nicer (and busier) than I am. If it were up to me, you would already be in the wind. I'm sure that others will see through this charade soon as they have before. Most of the members here are smarter than you are used to dealing with. Perhaps you should listen to your own platitude.

Okay, now you're just talking out of your ass. That wouldn't make a difference. It is a CIRCUIT. electrons flow AROUND the circuit. The ORDER in a pure series circuit doesn't matter one bit.

In this case, yes. The current will be the same in all components of a series circuit according to Kirchhoff's current law. You are flat-out wrong when you say the order of components makes a difference.

you will be fine just dont mix like alkaline and lithium or anything

Alright... back to the Battery Question....

You can mix battery voltage if the same type of battery is used
for a short term test only...

Leaving the different voltage batteries connected to a load for a
longer period of time will inevitably discharge one of the batteries
before the other since they are not supplying the same current
due to the different voltages across the said batteries.... IMO

Correct me if I'm wrong....

The safe bet is to use the same type and voltage of battery...:cool:

I never mix my Li-Ions, in fact, I don't even own anything that can fit 2 li-ions!

However, I like to feed my lasers Duraloops. Old habits die hard, and I like to use my Duraloops in matched-pairs. Well, one way or another, I left something on and one of my Duraloops leaked. It wasn't a lot, but I disposed of it anyways. So now I have 3 AAA Duraloops; one matched pair and a loner that doesn't match unless I charge all 3 (charger only charges pairs, so that ain't happening)

Basically, long story short, what about mixing NiMH same brand but different charge levels? Is slightly different voltages OK for short durations"?
