nice find but i think for 5 bucks extra its worth it to get it from someone here. but thats not true for every one on this global forum...:beer:

Yep, I hear you.

Thought at $49.99, with ebay taking $5 out of that, and shipping coming out of their pocket, you've gotta think they're only seeing ~$42 or so from that purchase.

Kind of makes me wonder what kind of pricing they'd offer on a purchase of say 3 diodes directly (off eBay). If anything, you'd hope they'd do 3x $42 + the cost of shipping one. So like $130 or so. Would be amazing if so.

i think a GB needs to be put together for these... i bet we could bet 30 diode order easy... they would be cheaper than a 445 diode.:eg:
 
The last time I priced out a QTY buy from one of the main re-sellers, the best you could get it down to in QTY was about $41.

I'm not sure where DTR and Clif get theirs, but I'm inclined to say that for the perhaps $10 we would save by someone doing a group-buy, we're probably better off supporting people like DTR and Clif and getting ours from them. Or if money is really tight, grabbing something like these $49.99 diodes shipped free from China and just waiting 3 weeks.
 
I don't have that many of the 300mW ones left and I should be getting the 500mW hopefully early next month so I will just clear out what I have here and wait to see how the 500mW test out.

I will put the rest of my 300mW on clearance for $50 shipped for the holidays. Merry Christmas.:san:

You have to talk large quantities before anyone will give you any kind of deal. I am talking 60-100 pieces at a time. Even I am not looking to go that far out on a limb @ $100 a diode.;)

What I am saying is from what I am being told about pricing on the 500mW units my only advantage will be that you don't have to wait for shipping from China.;)
