I don't understand the directions on use of the micro boost driver.

i have a host that i need to use the host as a voltage path. but the way i read the directions, i need to isolate the LD from the host?

just to be clear in what i am asking... can i use a micro boost by using the host as the negative or positive voltage path?

am i reading correctly? if so does this mean i need a flex drive instead?

the last paragraph of page 1

Apparently not if your diode uses it's case as either anode or cathode.

What high voltage diode that isn't case neutral are you trying to power?

445s and 405 (all of them?) are case neutral, so that would be no problem,
you could tap the diodes case pin as input to the driver....

thank both of you guys...

machro, how did you mangage to find that? You are one hell of a researcher!!

michael.

Thanks.

A few weeks ago I was reading the review about DTR's 18650 Ehgemus host and he posted this link on how this method works.
