Merged 445nm Pictures and Video Thread

A few of the better pics from tonight's session, very simple toys, mirrors on motors, ~750mW 445nm, ~250mW 650nm.

The perfect marriage of two hobbies, lasers and photography! :D Can you tell I dream of building a scanner? I have plans to do just that... I've put in a request for my birthday (January) so we'll see how that goes.

:beer:Really like the 4th picture. Looks like you are traveling through a blue rip in space. I would like to see it live. It would be cool if it gave the effect of spiraling down a hole with the light moving in waves at you.

I don't know. I was sleep building and when I woke up I had this awesome laser next to my pillow. My soldering iron was still hot and I had burn marks all over my hands. Pretty crazy stuff eh?
:crackup::crackup::crackup:
I'm gonna go with flashlight driver....

Yeah, but we had a thread about this earlier... it's a pain in the @ss in most hosts because the power supply gets interrupted... Also, just saying, PIC sucks! YEAH AVR WOHOO!!!

LPF really needs a rock on smiley lol...

I donno. I've done a lot of cool crap with PIC's over the years. Plus it's hard to beat PICbasic for coding simplicity. Even a crappy coder like myself can deal with that.

True.... although I got a picAXE off of ebay, and by the time it arrived (about a week and a half) I'd already learned how to program somewhat fluently in AVR-C :crackup: I guess I'm just a c/c++ kind of person.

When I put my 405-G-1 in backwards it makes a nice flashlight style beam.

TJ, you had to go all the way to LPF or some other forum to get that right? They should just make a native rock smiley. I don't want to have to

Yeah I got that from another forum. Its just a quick copy and paste.

I brought up the idea of more smilies to Avery, but I dont think he has the time to add more.
