If you're having a one-on-one conversation with another member on the open forum and it's not even remotely related to the OP, I would consider it spam - that belongs in PM. Ironic, given the subject of the OP.

Can I just take a moment to point out the irony in this thread? My sides are in orbit.
Although I admit, I try to put relevant information. Though my brain gets derailed from time to time, and I have a habit of fueling derailed threads. Or if a question is asked, and answered, and it's just a series of people talking back and forth and not letting the thread die, I will derail it for them.

At the bottom of the LPF "home page" under "Off Topics " is the thread Chronicles of Laser Pointer Forums, which has the thread LPF History 104 Rep per Post Count %, which is a spreadsheet shows rep points divided by posts done by madmacmo giving the LPF member a percentage score. The people who post with the intent of quantity over quality should do the math and see how low of a percentage they can achieve and be proud.
