Does anybody have any experience in machining copper? I will be making round heat sinks first.
I only have manual machines for turning,boring should I use carbide or HSS? speeds? sharp or honed edges? For milling copper, what end mills work best for copper?

HS good...Carbide NOT needed at all !! Go slow !! CU galls up like BITCH !!!

I have even tapped a 4-40 bore thru a 1/2" CU slab with #87

Took me years to discover this product !!! You can thank me later !!!

I just standard cutting bit on the Lathe !!!
