Hi,

Thought I'd share some pictures of my build. The module used here was from DTR, Its a Nichia NDB7875 445nm 9mm diode + G2 Lens already pre-wired to an X-drive set at 2.1 Amps. All I had to do was wire the module to the contact board.

I'm still new to lasers and electronics. Since my soldering skills suck, I opted for DTR's module, where most of the work was already done.

The host used is a Cree Small Sun ZY-A630. The heatsink was done by, Mrcrouse (excellent work man!)

This is powered by 2x18650 batteries

Thanks for looking

And thanks to:

DTR for the diode module
Mrcrouse for a kickass heatsink
Lazeerer for making an excellent driver

I'll try and get more beamshots with a better camera

Afraid not :undecided:

I don't have an LPM to test it out. But it should be at least 2.5W, with that current.

Thanks for the comments guys. I think this beast would look pretty cool on a tripod..

Holy $hit !!! It does looks badass.. I bet it would run for days on that huge heatsink

That things crazy! How much does it weigh?

I think there was a thread about carrying lasers for safety and most people thought it was a bad idea...this might, however, prove to be an exception!

No kidding! "Mace of Doom" indeed! You could blind an attacker AND beat them down with that! They might even run just when you turn it on!

Nice work btw!
