LPM recommendation

I know I could build something that would work, but honestly I have nowhere near enough time to even work with my lasers in the first place... the amount of enjoyment I'd get out of building something like this is nowhere near the fun I'd have actually working with the lasers. Sometimes I enjoy building my own tools, but I'm more interested in making progress on this Siemens laser.

Can you have the beam strike a piece of paper and then gauge the location using a regular camera imaging the back of the paper?
 
Since the two part thermal epoxy hardens in less than 5 minutes, you can't just make a big batch and use it to do a whole set of 20+ heatsinks in one shot. Usually you can only do about 5 per mix before the epoxy begins to clump and harden.

I can spout all kinds of company overhead like webhosting costs, electricity, paypal fees, packaging materials, custom CNC cutting and logo engraving (which was done on the recent batch of Alphas), gas money to drive to the post office, etc. But I don't think anyone here really cares. I just rattled off a few of the aspects of construction the Alphas that take significant time to accomplish. Laugh if you want but why troll me in other threads about it?

Anyway I'm already far enough off topic.

You seriously only need like two components, it would probably take you as much time reading the instructions on the HLPM as it would take you to set up a simple photo sensor but hey, mission accomplished either way :o

You sound a little bitter...:undecided:

We take the extra time to research the Thermal Epoxies
available and purchased the long curing time type.
We regularly epoxy +50 heads at one time... (that's a
hint...:beer:)

You are correct... (since you mentioned it...)
I don't care about your ultra low costs of producing your
LPMs.

You can put any selling price you want on your product.
I actually prefer your new pricing it allows you to stop
giving your LPMs away and get some kind of compensation...
although still meager...

As a lot of members have stated.... competition is a good
thing...;)
