Looking for Surface Mount Rectifier?

Hey all. So I am looking for a surface mount rectifier diode that I can put in my EAGLE schematic for a driver I am working on... yet the only one that seems possible to work is the ES2D.

Is the ES2D effective as a replacement for the 1N4001 diode?

Here is the datasheet.

Thanks!

Both of them outperform the 1n4001, so it would be a fine replacement.

The CRS08 is a good diode, but has a limited reverse voltage, and its also a skottky type diode. This means a lower forward voltage drop, which is usually a good thing, but it requires adaptation if you want to build things like a dummy load.

Well, I am looking for a diode that would be small enough to fit on an LM1085 board I am working on. So that's why I need an SMT diode. So I will take a look at those two. Thanks everyone!
